Still refining the design, but I think I like the overhead air scoop. Not visible in this image are the twin jet exhausts.

this is looking really nice.
looking forward to getting my hands on one. :V
I like it. It's like a mix of your Tigershark with your Manta, but with a good deal of new style to it. I definately wish to be a nearly adopter.
Cubey, it looks great; any risk of sticker-shock when I see her final price? That is to ask, do you have a price in mind, yet?
Any idea of price point on this one? And sign me up too, natch.
I'm not quiiite sure about this leaping from the water thing as shown in the vid, by the way. That makes it look like just a jet version of the Tigershark.
What I'd like to see is going into the water, submerging and using inboard impellers for maneuvering underwater. Coming up to the surface, not being able to just leap into the air, but needing to turn off the impellers and spin up the jet turbine, then pick up speed along the water for takeoff.
Basically, make the difference between air and water mean more. :)
I guess maybe the video wasn't clear — while it *can* leap from under the water, given enough speed and launch angle, it also can emerge and float. It takes off and lands like a regular float plane as well.
As for price, I haven't settled on that yet, but I'm sure it won't be the most expensive plane in my collection.
If it recognizes the surface of the water and settles to it unless it's going like the clappers, coolness. Heh, imagine this thing will be too small to quite do it, but the notion of it doing a breaching maneuver like a Typhoon would be kinda cool.
